Mahjong 101 with Guest Instructor Mahjong Mama
Mahjong 101 beginner lesson is officially open for registration!
People often think mahjong is confusing—but it doesn’t have to be. Lisa Ruef from Mahjong Mama teaches the game in a clear, friendly way that helps you learn faster and with confidence.
This relaxed Mahjong 101 lesson is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a stronger foundation using National Mahjong League rules. You’ll learn tile meanings, how the hands on the card work, tips for choosing hands, and simple gameplay strategies to help you feel confident at the table.
The ultimate goal? So you can start playing the very same night.
Sign up solo to meet new people around the table, or sign up with a friend (or three!) so you’ll have people to play with after your lesson.
Enjoy laughter, encouragement, and meaningful connection in the welcoming atmosphere of AR Workshop Ocala, where mahjong brings people together.
We invite you to bring your favorite food or drink (BYOB!) to fuel your game.
Seats at the table are limited—grab your spot before they’re gone!$45 per person.
