AR Workshop LaPlata Makes Its Mark in Maryland
Officially opened since the end of 2017, AR Workshop LaPlata just celebrated its one year anniversary. They’ve become a triple threat in the state of Maryland, along with sister locations AR Workshop Frederick and AR Workshop Annapolis and are providing DIY lovers with plenty of opportunities to create in a gorgeous and fun-loving environment. Co-owners Melinda Townsend and Laura Forbes held a great community grand opening earlier this fall. Together, the pair have created a beautiful location! We are sharing a variety of photos from their first year to share with you! Read on to see photos and learn a little bit about this DIY duo!
Melinda and Laura are a dynamic DIY duo! They are passionate about working hard and playing hard. They are passionate about impacting the community of LaPlata in a positive way and are making that happen as they provide a fun activity to do any day of the week! They are big on the concept of doing things yourself, which is why owning a DIY centered business made sense for them. AR Workshop is the type of boutique style company that affords them the ability to provide the town they love all of the things they desired!
The workshop offers both DIY classes and a retail space for shopping. As you can see in the photos, there are a variety of gifts, handmade décor, and specialty items for sale. DIY classes include both specialty classes such as making chunky knit blankets and Christmas wreaths to the standard home décor classes. Wood framed and plank signs, gorgeous centerpiece boxes, trendy canvas pillow cases and wall hangings, porch signs, holiday décor, and so much more can be made at the DIY décor classes. You can find the workshop class schedule here.
