AR Workshop Nashville Celebrates with a Grand Opening in Tennessee

In Anders Ruff Workshop News, DIY Projects, Home Decor, New Locations

When it comes to celebrating,  AR Workshop Nashville definitely knows how to throw a party! Recently, they joined AR Workshop Franklin as the hottest DIY home décor workshops in Tennessee and hosted a grand opening celebration full of free make and takes, food, drinks, and great tunes! You can find this trendy spot for crafting up your own home decor at 2022A Lindell Ave., in Nashville. DIYers are thrilled to have their own place to make a variety of attractive accessories for their home–things like custom throw pillows, centerpieces, wood framed signs, picture frames, trays, and lazy susans, plus plenty of canvas accessories and décor items too! If you aren’t familiar with the AR Workshop concept you should definitely plan a trip! AR Workshop was founded by Maureen Anders and Adria Ruff. The A in AR comes from Anders and the R from Ruff! Since the flagship store originally opened in Pineville, NC, close to 100 workshops have opened or been announced all around the country! AR Workshop Nashville is so excited to join this family of creative workshop owners.

AR Workshop Nashville

This boutique DIY studio is unique because it offers hands-on classes for creating custom, charming home décor from raw materials. Patrons can join an instructor-led workshop where you can make custom home décor all while having fun! Each AR Workshop is individually owned. Every owner or pair of owners has their own story that has led them to opening their own AR Workshop. For AR Workshop Nashville owners and long-time friends Brandon Nunnally and Melissa Bowen, that is definitely the case. Since she was a small child, Brandon has had a love of DIY and craft projects. She shared this hobby with her mother. Since her move to Nashville in 1998, Brandon has spent time working in the music industry, special event production and healthcare management. But, from the instant she discovered AR Workshop, he knew her career path was about to take a major shift! Melissa made the move to Nashville from Washington state in January of 2004. Prior to her cross country move, she was the assistant director of a childcare facility and taught preschool. She has been a full-time child care provider for three amazing children for the past 13 years and also coached high school and junior high sports. Melissa’s passion for teaching and coaching as well as her creativity made her an attractive candidate for partnering up with Brandon! Brandon’s persistence in getting her to team up is paying off!  Brandon and Melissa are so excited to share AR Workshop with the Nashville community they have called home for nearly 20 years.
