California Welcomes AR Workshop San Diego

California is already a popular state, but visitors might be flocking to San Diego even more now with the recent grand opening of AR Workshop San Diego! We couldn’t be more excited that new owner, Shannon Knuth jumped at the chance to bring AR Workshop’s trendy DIY concept to the beautiful California coast. Californians will be able to makeover their homes with on-trend home decor that they can create themselves. Shannon will provide the tools, materials, and instructor support so you can make everything from wood plank signs to lazy susans, canvas wall hangings, tote bags, pillows and more!

Shannon was raised by parents who enjoyed remodeling and restoring homes. She attributes her love of DIY to them. She grew up watching them in action, and they helped her with her own remodel and restoration projects. Decor and design became a passion of Shannon’s at a young age. Her father was a woodshop teacher, making owning her own workshop especially fitting. For 15 years, Shannon spent time in a courtroom as a court reporter. She took a brief break after giving birth to her second child. She was anxious to jump into something creative next!

A native San Diegan, Shannon moved to Raleigh, NC for two years while her husband was expanding his company. There, she attended an AR Workshop class with her mom and instantly knew this was something San Diego needed. With the knowledge that they were moving home to California in six months fresh on her mind, she immediately told her husband about her idea to bring AR Workshop to California! She met Maureen and Adria and knew she she had found the next chapter in her life story.

Shannon is ecstatic to be the first location in California to open its doors and is overjoyed to share this amazing concept with San Diego. Come meet Shannon and visit AR Workshop San Diego!
