Welcome October! Fall Decoration Ideas

 In DIY Projects, Wood Signs

October is finally here and in the Carolinas, the crisp air is non-existent.  That hasn’t stopped me from starting to cozy up my home with autumn and fall wood signs, centerpiece boxes, pillows and more from AR Workshop.  Have you joined a DIY workshop with us at any of our 50 locations yet? (Find your closest location here)

Some of our fall decor favorites include our DIY centerpiece boxes…. this “Friends and Family Gather Here” wood centerpiece box is so pretty when filled with gorgeous dried artichokes, spanish moss and some small white pumpkins!

Pick up some magnolia leaves in the boutique section of AR Workshop to help fill those centerpiece boxes, too!

I love changing up the colors for fall every year. This year’s fall color decor palette is neutral and soft artichoke and celery tones mixed with fall rustic brown and barnwood. My antique tobacco basket is the perfect backdrop. (Note – some of our locations sell these, so be sure to check with your local AR Workshop!)

Our Happy Fall Y’all Framed Wood Sign is so classic – and when you attend a workshop you can pick any stain and any paint colors to match your own fall color scheme! We paired it with our plank “there is always something to be thankful for” wood sign.  I pulled a dark stain to match my floors and it really pops against the framed sign.

My amazing neighbor and friend asked us to make her the same signs and I LOVE how she layered them above her range. The window paired with the signs just makes it so cozy!

I layered pumpkins in pots with more spanish moss to tie into the rest of my decor.

Eat, drink and give thanks is such a great wood sign to hang all year long, but especially during fall! This would be so great to hang in a skinny space that is hard to fill.. or layer on an end table or console. I love it paired with a bunch of dried wheat.

Our favorite design from last year, our “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” is such a classic – I pulled it out and put it in my foyer this year so I could change out my mantle.

When you take a wood sign class, we give you help and assistance on choosing colors that will compliment your home the best!

Tis the season for pumpkin everything, yes it is! This design is so festive and you can use as a lazy susan or a sign!

Our 16″ smaller centerpiece boxes are such a hit – we love them for smaller spaces – and I love changing out the fillers for the season. You can make our small centerpiece box at any of our framed sign classes and centerpiece box workshops!

We hope to see you in a workshop soon! Click here to choose your location and see the workshop schedules!
