AR Workshop Holiday Wood Signs and A Rustic Christmas Mantle

 In Home Decor, Wood Signs

It really is the most wonderful time of the year!  At Anders Ruff we love to share party styling tips and decorating tips, so I thought I’d do a small round up of some ideas and tips for decorating with you.

But first – just have to show you some love.  We are so lucky to get to work with such amazing women and this time of year makes me especially thankful.  At AR Workshop, work is fun – it really doesn’t feel like “work”.  We love creating new and inspiring designs for you to cozy up your home.  We have launched some new holiday signs and we just wanted to share a few to get you inspired to create! Come and sign up for a workshop and make your own wood signs, canvas wall hangings, pillows and more!

My house has so many nooks and crannies that I like to decorate, so I thought I’d share a few tips for styling your own home for the holidays.

Above is our Most wonderful time of the year framed wood sign that we offer in our workshops.  In case you aren’t familiar, you get to come and learn the steps to create it from raw materials and leave with a truly custom piece that you created from scratch – picking your own (non-toxic!) stains and paints and level of distressing.  We make it easy for you and you don’t have to be an artist!  If you love it but want it on plank, we can do that, too! Check out more of our projects and designs at our projects tab here.

For my hutch, I filled it with cute rustic pieces like birch logs, pine cones and some little accenting holiday trinkets.  I added a small flocked christmas tree and some greenery.  I am obsessed with small christmas houses and have them accenting my display.

Now, to share a few tips for home decor and styling as well as more projects that we are featuring!

This year, I wanted my Christmas mantle to have a few pops of red. I tend to stick with neutrals but I was feeling a little crazy this year ha!  There is just something magic about jolly old Santa Claus.  We designed this Santa to create a product that you can customize to your own colors and finishes in a workshop!  I am obsessed with him!  It just made sense to have a Santa Claus is coming to town wood sign on our mantle since that is where the old man comes down anyhow, the chimney and fireplace, right!?

Of course I had to add some festive pom pom trim, antique windows as well as some red lanterns to cozy up the space.  Our little mail slot has vintage santa post cards with some candy canes and green pine needles.

Our Santa Wood Sign takes center stage with his bad self. Come make one in a workshop soon! Sign up here.

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas customized wood sign flanks my doorway to my home.  I added some drippy paint to make it look snowy, of course!

In my family room hangs mistletoe and our new “Meet me under the mistletoe” wood sign.  What a perfect sign to hang over any doorway!

I just wanted to share a few other cuties – our Christmas Trees wood Sign is so festive and looks so different depending on the colors you choose.

I also am loving our new Christmas Countdown Calendar that is done on canvas with wood hangers on the top and bottom.  Move the little marker on each day as Christmas gets closer! This is a great way to count down without having to give treats each day (like the typical advent calendar with boxes to open full of candy – sorry kids!)

While are talking about Santa, lets bring up Mrs. Claus. Gotta love her, too.  We designed a lazy susan that you can put out with your cookies for Santa. I am SURE Santa will leave better gifts if you leave his cookies freshly baked on this tray, right!?

We have plenty more options for holiday signs and designs but these were just some of my favorites I had to share. Be sure to check out our AR Workshop schedule of classes for all of our locations here. Sign up soon because spots are filling quick!
